Wills

ACE does NOT assist callers in preparing a will or administering an estate. ACE can provide callers with general information about wills.

A will is a written document that sets out your instructions for what should happen to your estate (property) after death. It names a person (or persons) called an estate trustee who you want to carry out the terms of your will. The estate trustee is responsible for paying your debts and ensuring that your property goes where your will says it should go. A will only takes effect after your death.

Many lawyers in the private bar are available to assist with will preparation. It is recommended that if you want to prepare a will you retain a lawyer to help you.
