We are excited to invite you to our 40th Annual General Meeting

This year’s meeting is a special milestone as we celebrate 40 years of dedicated advocacy and legal support for Ontario’s seniors.

Date: Tuesday, November 26, 2024
Time: Registration begins at 6:00 PM | Meeting starts at 6:30 PM
Location: 14th Floor, 55 University Avenue, Toronto, ON

Meeting Agenda

The business portion of the meeting will include:

  • Welcome and Report from the Chair of the Board of Directors
  • Approval of Minutes, 2022-23 Annual General Meeting
  • Financial Report
  • By-Law Amendment Approval
  • Election of Board of Directors
  • Recognition of Retiring Board Members
  • Executive Director’s Report

Following the business portion, join us for a special 40th anniversary presentation titled “The Past, Present & Future of ACE.” We’ll reflect on ACE’s impactful journey, honor the legacy of Judith Wahl, ACE’s inaugural Executive Director, and share our vision for the future of ACE.

*Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

When you arrive, a member of the ACE team will meet you in the lobby of 55 University Avenue to escort you to the meeting room on the 14th floor.

Membership Renewal

A reminder to our current members that your membership will expire after the AGM. To renew for 2025, please visit our membership page or email info@ace.clcj.ca.

Proxy Voting

If you’re a 2024 voting member and cannot attend, please assign a voting proxy by completing the proxy form (below) and submit it no later than noon on the day of the AGM.

40th Annual General Meeting - Assign a Proxy for Voting Purposes

PROXY

If you are a 2024 voting member of the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly (ACE) and are unable to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 26, 2024, you have the option to assign a proxy to vote on your behalf. By completing and submitting this form, you authorize your appointed proxy to attend, vote, and act in your place during the AGM, including any adjournments.

Form Instructions:

  1. 1. Proxy Appointment: Fill in the name of the person you are appointing as your proxy. This individual will have the authority to vote and represent you at the AGM.
  2. 2. Proxy Powers: Your appointed proxy will have full powers to vote on your behalf, waive notice of the meeting, and participate fully in any business matters that arise during the AGM.
  3. 3. Submission: Please submit your completed proxy form before noon on the day of the AGM.

The undersigned member of the Holly Street Advocacy Centre for the Elderly Inc. ("ACE") hereby appoints

as proxy, with power of substitution, to attend and vote for and on behalf of the undersigned at the Annual Meeting of members of ACE to be held on November 26, 2024, and at any adjournment thereof, with full power to the said proxy to waive notice of such meeting on behalf of the undersigned.
